Umar Gul in Talks for Bangladesh Fast Bowling Coach Role
Former Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul is reportedly in discussions with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for a potential coaching position. Gul, known for his lethal pace and consistency, may soon join the Bangladesh national team as their fast bowling coach.
Talks Ongoing with Bangladesh Cricket Board
In a recent interview with Cricbuzz, Umar Gul confirmed that he is currently negotiating with BCB officials. While discussions are active, no formal agreement has been reached yet.
“Yes, I am in talks with the Bangladesh Cricket Board,” Gul shared. “But nothing has been finalized at this point.”
Current Coach Andre Adams Might Step Down
The Bangladesh fast bowling department is currently under the guidance of Andre Adams, a former New Zealand cricketer.
Adams is working under a two-year contract with the BCB, set to end in February 2026. However, multiple reports suggest that he may exit his role early due to underwhelming performance results.
