BCCI Central Contracts 2024–25 Announced
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially released the list of annual central contracts for the 2024–25 season. Several major changes have been introduced, including notable returns and fresh inclusions.
Iyer & Kishan Reinstated
- Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan have been reinstated into the central contracts after being left out last season due to disciplinary concerns.
- Iyer returns in Grade B, while Kishan is placed in Grade C.
- Iyer had already made a comeback in the ODI squad and played a crucial role in India’s Champions Trophy victory.
- Kishan is currently showcasing form in the IPL 2025 season.
Elite A+ Category Retained
Only four players have been placed in the top-tier A+ category (INR 7 crore annual salary):
- Virat Kohli
- Rohit Sharma
- Jasprit Bumrah
- Ravindra Jadeja
Despite retirement from T20 Internationals, the trio of Rohit, Kohli, and Jadeja has been retained, clearing earlier speculations of a drop.
Young Talent Given Maiden Contracts
The BCCI has rewarded several promising players with first-time central contracts:

- Nitish Kumar Reddy
- Harshit Rana
- Abhishek Sharma
- Varun Chakaravarthy
All have been added to Grade C, showing BCCI’s focus on grooming future talent.
Pant Upgraded to Grade A
- Rishabh Pant has been upgraded to Grade A in recognition of his consistent performances and comeback journey.
