For the Spring 2025 women’s collection, Prada has created a book of 10 short stories by author Ottessa Moshfegh, starring Carey Mulligan.
Titled “Ten Protagonists,” the book explores the theme of plurality. It focuses on character-driven dressing, showcasing pieces with personality.
Moshfegh is known for her bold portrayal of women. She has gained acclaim for her honest and sometimes provocative characters in works like “Eileen” and “My Year of Rest and Relaxation.” For this project, she wrote ten narratives, each reflecting a Prada persona brought to life by Mulligan.
Moshfegh has a deep appreciation for fashion. She has loved vintage clothing since her teenage years and has written about it for magazines. During the pandemic, she sold pieces from her collection on DePop. She has also walked the runway and contributed to fashion publications.
Carey Mulligan gained recognition for her role in “An Education,” earning a BAFTA Award and an Academy Award nomination. She has received additional nominations for “Promising Young Woman” and “Maestro.” Mulligan often wears Prada on the red carpet and attended the Spring 2025 runway show in Milan.
The book will be presented during select in-store events in Tokyo, Milan, Paris and London, starting in February.
