SUPARCO signs landmark deal with China Manned Space Agency
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan will soon send its first astronaut into space, following a significant agreement with the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). This mission will mark a historic moment as the Pakistani astronaut becomes the first foreign astronaut to travel to the China Space Station (CSS).
The announcement was made by Dr. Muhammad Farooq, Director General of SUPARCO, during an interview on Geo News.
Agreement Signed Between SUPARCO and CMSA
The deal was finalized at the Prime Minister’s House, strengthening the partnership between Pakistan and China in space exploration. Dr. Farooq emphasized the importance of this collaboration, saying that only Chinese astronauts have previously been aboard the China Space Station. This will be the first time that a foreign astronaut participates in a mission.
